Can I get Logic Studio 9 Upgrade if I downloaded the torrent Pro Logic 8?

I downloaded a torrent for Logic Pro 8, which landed with the program and nothing else. I wondered if I could buy an upgrade to Logic Studio 9 instead of buying the program $ 500.
