food processor vs blender?

whats the difference between a food processor and a blender?
i want to use this to puree veggies and i have a blender now but all it seams to do is chop them up not puree them should i invest in a food processor or will it just do the same?

Food processors and blenders are not interchangeable. Blenders are primarily for liquid ingredients (drinks, soups, sauces) although you can grind some herbs/spices too (but it’s messy). Food processors have different blades for slicing, shredding and mixing doughs. You can pulse things to chop or mince them. I have a cheap blender, which works just fine – and spent the money on a GOOD food processor (14-cup Cuisinart).
