What makes coffee so darn good Icelandic?

I have to Iceland last summer and I was surprised how well they condemned her coffee. It is aromatic and very very dark and you can get for free (!!!) a large number of gas stations. Since my return I have tried to brew coffee is as good as Coffee Icelandic, but I Failed (SW below). If you know then, as the Icelanders have their coffee? What they beans? Do they use standard drip coffee makers or what?

Because it is cold buttass if something seems to be a magical elixir is hot. Try different beans and grind them yourself in the supermarket.
