What is the difference between enriched, whole grain, wheat flour and whole wheat flour?

Enriched is flour that has been processed so much that it needs to have nutrients added back to it. These normally are only nutritious from the vitamins they add back in and not on their own.

Whole grain flour is usually a combination of multiple grains that includes the entire grain when it is ground instead of having things like the outside of wheat kernels or other grains removed. It has more nutrition and fiber than enriched flour.

Wheat flour and whole wheat flour are similar. Whole wheat flour is the whole grain where wheat flour may have been de-germed or processed more.
