Making Ice Cream with a food processor?
I just found this lovely little recipe from this site http://www.choosingraw.com/this-post-will-change-your-life/. Making banana soft serve. But what would happen if I only used frozen strawberries?? Would they produce the same texture?? I see some recipes on the web for frozen strawberries combining them with milk and other ingredients, but would JUST using frozen strawberries produce a tasty result??? Or would it be bland??
I am not looking for a way to make strawberry ice cream. I don’t want dairy or anythign like that in it. Just wanted to know the answer to my question in the details section.
A fast way to make delicious ice cream in a food processor or blender. Use any frozen fruit in place of the strawberries.
Ingredients
300g frozen strawberries, or any frozen fruit
125g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
150ml (2/3 cup) thickened cream
Preparation method
Combine the frozen strawberries and sugar in a food processor or blender. Process until the fruit is roughly chopped.
With the processor running, slowly pour in the cream until fully incorporated. Serve immediately, or freeze for up to one week.
