How can I steam the rice over the stove?

I bought a boiler from 3 today. He has a pot background, a pot that is in it and a pot to steam on top with a lid. This is not one of those steamers automatic, but it sits on the stove. I steamed asparagus and it was delicious! Now I want steamed white rice and ask how long I should steam for?
