Food processor question? I bought a sunbeam le chef at a thrift store and the blade goes around silently and?
quickly, but when I tried to make cranberry relish by putting fresh cranberries and quartered apple and quartered orange with the peel on, it just turned to mush. It seemed to be stirring rather than cutting. Is this a dull blade, slow turning motor or asking too much of the food processor. Is it worth trying to get it repaired? I have a blade and a plastic stirring blade (I guess for bread making?). I like that the motor is quiet.
It doesn’t seem to pulse, only run continuous.
Actually I think you are experiencing the results of a good food processor. Try pulsing the blade or use some other type of cutting or chopping tool. The problem you are experiencing would be equivalent to trying to chop tomatoes in a food processor to make pica de gallo.
