Is a Kitchenaid mixer the same thing as a Cuisinart food processor?
My husband says they are and that I need to pick just one.
Nope. They are very different, and also very different in cost.

A cusinart food processor really only performs one task well… slicing up food into smaller pieces.
The Kitchenaid mixer has many attachments that allow you to not only mix things, but also perform pretty much the same functions as a food processor, a pasta maker, a fruit/vegetable strainer, a meat grinder, a sausage maker, etc..
My wife and I have both, however we only really ever use the Kitchenaid mixer.

Food Processor for Chicken??
Looking for a good food processor or chopper that will process chicken for chicken salad?

No no no, do not put chicken in a blender or processor unless you want chicken mush. Here is how I would preare chicken for salad.
Chop up raw chicken an dsute in butter, or grill or saute a whole chicken breast. Let cook then chop with a knife.
Or boil the chopped chicken or even whole breasts. Boil just until done, drain, rinse with cold water, and allow to cool. If using the whole breast then allow to cool and pull or shredd the chicken to as big or as small as you want.
Then mix for the salad you want.
