how the steamer insert Tfal supposed to be used?
Emeril not the gear, but the insert steam opens in a new spiral of sorts that came with all the pots and pans.
I have one of those. It's nice because fits in most pans. You put it in a pan, fill pan with water, just top to bottom of steamer. Put in food, cover the pan and bring water to a boil. If you do something big, like artichokes, you can remove the pole with the ring on it. Also make sure do not run out of water in the pan. You can add more water at any time. Simply pour into a cup or something.
