Can you use a blender to make you own baby food?

I’ve just recently decided to make my own baby food for my daughter. I honestly don’t know how to do it. I figure it can’t be too hard, I just steam them, and then puree them. but can i use a regular blender, or should I invest in a food processor? also, if there’s any other tips you can give me, please do.

You can use a blender, But invest in a food processor if you’ll be having more kids or will use it after he’s grown out of baby food. My second son ate so much that buying him jarred food would have cost about $100 a month! I used an old food processor we had, and it worked great. I would make food once a week, and would store it in little 4 oz tupperware containers (you get them at Walmart on the disposable food storage section). I actually used a lot of canned food, just make sure you buy veggies that have no sodium, and all fruit is packed in fruit juice with no added sugar. I used frozen peas and fresh bananas. His favorite canned foods were carrots, sweet potatoes, and peaches. I’m going to do it again with this baby, it was so easy and saved us a ton of money. E-mail me if you have any questions!
