Help please?

I just bought a 2005 escape-3l-v6 drive.it front wheel has the following Manf. tires on it (all seasons) 235/70R16. I came across a lot (i think) on snow tires (Goodyear UltraGrip fluid), they were used for about 1000 km – continue to have feathers secondary them.they was pre-installed on new steel rims for a quantity of 4 tires and rims $ 200 – friends.they emerged from a issue to 2003 or 2004 escape.my is the size of tires purchased on the edge are–225/70r15–bolt pattern is the same – they will work on my 2005, even if they a tire are smaller – I guess my concern is that the front calipers – any help would be great! thank you all – Rick

DO NOT CHANGE TIRE SIZE. This is not only a security problem, the smaller will confuse your sensors (ABS, VSS to name 2) and will in turn make your trans transition points all stupid. In security, your suspension components were chosen based on tire size and payload of cababilities OEM tires. Change that reduces the load capacity thus change the handling characteristics of vehicles.
